What IS Deco?

Deco, or in length, decoden, is a style of DIY decoration that involves the use of stickers, rhinestones, craft silicone, and other objects to adorn and personalize different items. As I am not heavily involved in K-pop or other forms of asian community where photocards are prevelent I have not always felt like I was welcome to make decocards. Within the last two or so years, I started to really crave some sort of charm or trinket to show my love for the newest Papa from the band ghost, Papa V. With his reveal he had all the trademarks of a star; I finally found myself too enchanted by the idea of having handmade merch to put it off any longer and ordered myself the basic stuff needed to begin a new craft hobby. I am not short on hobbies that I alread had, but THIS was gonna be the one that I stuck with.

And stuck with it I have! I am happy to report that decocards have become a favorite hobby of mine and that I have dozens and dozens of ideas for new cards every day. I have quite the collection of stickers and I have even made a few cards for friends and family.In the same way my mother used to love to scrapbook I have found myself soothed and entertained looking through memories of characters that I love to make a representation of what they mean to me.
